SATURDAY NIGHT 

“Saturday Night Dinner” is the weekly meal we prepare for our crazy “Chosen Family." It also sometimes includes other friends and “Given Family” visiting from out of town. An anchoring presence more often than not is BD's son Jackson, who regales us with his tales from the New York Subway and his post at the New York Transit Museum, or shares his latest film project. This unique tradition is a big part of our identity as a couple.

The “Saturday Night Dinner,” the night before our wedding, will be a li’l extra. Rather than our traditional homemade dinner, we’re hosting it in a special room at one of our new favorite restaurants in the Chelsea area of Manhattan, LA SIRENA, in the MARITIME HOTEL. (Vegetarian options will be offered).

Chelsea (where the restaurant is located, Manhattan) is easily accessible by NY Yellow Cab, ride hailing service, or NYC Subway. 

The South Cabana has its own entrance, different from the entrance to the main restaurant. It’s at the top of the stairs nearest the northeast corner of 9th Avenue and W.16th Street. There will be a greeter there at the top of the stairs to direct you to the South Cabana.

PLEASE NOTE: ANYONE NEEDING TO USE THE ELEVATOR should enter around the corner on 9th Avenue between W16th and W17th Street, take the elevator one flight up to the restaurant level, and someone there will escort you around to the South Cabana entrance at the top of the abovementioned stairs.

What Do I Wear to SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER?

At this dinner you must wear anything that you’d feel happy wearing to a family dinner on a special occasion!
